Insert slot dimensions are 14 1/4"L X 3 3/4"W The original was aluminum to the best of my memory. Pop had a dado insert as well as the standard. I'd love to find both but will be happy with the standard regardless of the type of material it is made of. Just want to keep it as original as possible.
