我进入一个带回家橡木地板。r后emoving the soiled carpeting, I found large areas of residue from the carpet pads. They are generally in the middle of each room and appear to have two layers of adhesive. The top layer looks a bit like brown paper (though it is not) and and the bottom layer turns milky when I either apply Clorox Clean-up or Oops. These both take up the residue, but require a great deal of time and effort.

Is there a product or technique that would do a good job and take less time? Could I just go ahead and sand the floor without taking off the adhesive residue?

Second question - after sanding what is the best way to feed the wood (it's very dry) and then protect the finish?

You can easily do this job using the PEEL AWAY 5 paint removal product. It will do it in one application and will keep the natural color of the wood. Visit the web site at www.peelaway.com for more info

Thank you! It worked like a dream; much better than the nightmare I thought I was walking into.
