我进入一个带回家橡木地板。r后emoving the soiled carpeting, I found large areas of residue from the carpet pads. They are generally in the middle of each room and appear to have two layers of adhesive. The top layer looks a bit like brown paper (though it is not) and and the bottom layer turns milky when I either apply Clorox Clean-up or Oops. These both take up the residue, but require a great deal of time and effort.
Is there a product or technique that would do a good job and take less time? Could I just go ahead and sand the floor without taking off the adhesive residue?
Second question - after sanding what is the best way to feed the wood (it's very dry) and then protect the finish?
